Many people have at least one story about their pet getting injured. This is mine. Click on any of the thumbnails for the full-size images.
First though, some background info on the cat.
Esmé was a violent cat from Day Two (on Day One he was a calm 10-week old kitten that was plucked out of a humane society cage). For awhile his aggressive kitten nature was cute. He'd jump up at things dangling in the air. He'd bat foil balls around for seemingly days at a time.
But he would also jump onto a person's back for no reason (while they were standing). He would often bite and claw anyone that tried touching him too much. And at times he would freak out and go into attack mode, like the time he boxed W. and myself into a corner and waited for us to move so that he could lash out. That incident ended with W. grabbing a baseball bat and fleeing my apartment while I spun around and around, attempting to remove a cat and his teeth from my arm.
He would rest at times and appear to be a typical cat. Despite his daytime viciousness, at night he would always hop onto my bed and curl up to sleep, sleeping between my legs in colder weather. Not too many people saw that side of Esmé.
